I started with Dogs Trust when the new West London centre opened in Harefield in March 06. Previously, I worked in the Education Department of the National Portrait Gallery. Though my topic of teaching has changed considerably, my love of the subject has not!
It has been an amazing time at the Harefield centre, which has seen large numbers of dogs rehomed, since opening in March 06. I am very lucky to work in such a beautiful centre, which even has a restored education barn, this means school classes can come and visit the centre and have a workshop on site and get to really find out how a Rehoming centre is run.
I have two small black Patterdale Terriers called Belle and Ealy who are regulars to the schools. Ealy especially likes having his tummy tickled by all the children!
