Leeds and Yorkshire

Donna Sayce, Dogs Trust Education Officer

I was a Canine Carer and Re-homer for Dogs Trust for 5 years, before joining the education team as the Education Officer for Leeds/Yorkshire region.

I am passionate about dogs and have always enjoyed working with children. This role is a perfect way of combining the two by educating them about responsible dog ownership therefore reducing the numbers of lost and abandoned dogs in the years to come.

My new classroom assistants are Dennis and Maisy, two Jack Russell Terriers, are both rescue dogs themselves. They are looking forward to meeting lots of children and making many new friends! Taking real life dogs to the classroom helps demonstrate safety round dogs and how to keep dogs happy and healthy, the children also get the opportunity to safely interact with the dogs and teach them a few tricks!

You can book a workshop with me by contacting:
